Human behavior is a crucial phenomenon, but it is as complex as it is important. It is responsible for both positive and negative outcomes: for successes and failures, inventions and discoveries, accidents and mishaps, love and care, hatred and violence, development and progress, as well as destruction and regression. Human behavior influences all aspects of life. Given its significance, human behavior is a key focus in education, professions, and various fields that require individuals with specific behavioral traits. These traits are often assessed through psychological tests. However, the mechanisms that initiate and control these behavioral traits remain enigmatic. Since the beginning of time, humans have sought to understand this phenomenon. Although experts have proposed various theories, the world still grapples with the consequences of irrational and unexplained behaviors exhibited by many individuals. It seems that existing theories are inadequate or incomplete in explaining human behavior.
This paper presents a comprehensive analysis of various behavioral theories, identifies their limitations, and highlights areas where further improvement is needed. Based on this analysis, the author introduces a new behavioral theory called the "Need Set Behavior Theory." The author discusses how this theory provides a more logical and realistic explanation of human behavior. It highlights the potential benefits of the theory for individuals and families, particularly in areas such as career selection, improved job performance, business success, and crime prevention.
