Managementics is a newly coined term representing a groundbreaking philosophy—a fusion of management and science. Management concepts are often based on selective observations leading to inferences that vary with time, place and circumstances. Management decisions are mostly based on deductive reasoning, experience or individual perspectives, and presumptions, and as such they have limitations. Scientific concepts on the other hand are universally true, such as Newton’s laws or Ohm’s law.
The concept of Managementics seeks to improve management decisions by integrating scientific principles into management practices. This approach enables the development of more reliable, effective, and universally applicable solutions to management problems. Managementics adopts two-pronged approach for solving managerial problems and for taking better managerial decisions. This approach is explained below:
